The design aims to create an atmosphere that feels intimate and timeless, balancing contemporary clarity with the warmth and familiarity of a lived-in home, set within a landscape that opens toward breathtaking views of the distant sea.
Spatially, the project emphasizes calm proportions and visual continuity, allowing interiors to feel open yet protected. Carefully framed openings establish a strong relationship with the surrounding landscape, guiding views across rolling terrain toward the far horizon. Morning daylight becomes a central design element, entering softly through windows and filtered curtains, creating gentle shadows and reinforcing a slow, natural rhythm throughout the day.
Material choices are intentionally restrained and tactile, reflecting the local context. Textured plaster, natural wood, stone, and soft fabrics form a muted, earthy palette that enhances warmth and visual comfort. These materials are allowed to age naturally, expressing their character and reinforcing a sense of honesty and durability rather than decorative excess.
Furniture and built-in elements are designed to feel residential and understated. Custom details, integrated lighting, and handcrafted accents contribute to a cohesive architectural language that supports simplicity and ease of use. Bathrooms are conceived as small wellness spaces, where light, texture, and proportion elevate everyday rituals into moments of calm and retreat.
Overall, the project reflects a design philosophy in which atmosphere takes precedence over ornament. Rather than a conventional hotel interior, the bed and breakfast is conceived as a sequence of carefully composed spaces that encourage guests to slow down, feel grounded in place, and quietly connect with the architecture, the landscape, and the distant sea beyond.
