STATUS

Ideal project

The architectural form follows the classic Istrian rural typology, featuring a simple gabled roof, clean rectangular volumes, and the use of authentic local stone that contrasts with smooth, light-colored plaster.

Located in the hills of northwestern Istria near Buje, this 180 m² family house blends traditional Istrian architecture with refined contemporary design.
Green shutters, warm-toned joinery, pergolas covered in grapevines, and a Mediterranean garden enhance the atmosphere of an Istrian countryside retreat.
The interior is defined by warmth and understated elegance, combining traditional proportions with modern comfort. Neutral tones, light wooden floors, exposed stone walls, and rustic furnishings create a calm and timeless living environment. Views toward the swimming pool and surrounding vineyards strengthen the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.
Designed in close dialogue with its surroundings, the house respects the rural context while introducing contemporary elements, resulting in a harmonious balance between tradition, landscape, and modern living.
